Klaipėda became the harbor for the AMBeR Partner Meeting and 3rd General Assembly

The AMBeR Partner Meeting and 3rd General Assembly took place in Klaipėda on October 22-23, bringing together over 40 participants from five partner countries at Klaipeda University. The event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on past achievements and outline future initiatives.

The first day was dedicated to exploring the city of Klaipėda, allowing participants to engage with the local culture and environment. On the second day, the focus shifted to presentations and in-depth discussions, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among attendees.

The General Assembly began with a warm welcome from the hosts, including Klaipeda University Rector Prof. Dr. Artūras Razbadauskas and Dr. Audrius Šimaitis, General Director of Klaipeda University Hospital. Their opening remarks set a positive tone for the meeting, emphasizing the importance of partnership, innovation, and a patient-centered approach in the AMBeR project.

The discussions covered various innovative topics, including the implementation model for eCare, digital cancer rehabilitation, home monitoring of blood values for cancer patients, and a health economics study assessing blood tests in both clinical and home settings. Additionally, participants were introduced to REDCap, a powerful data management tool.

An online Advisory Board meeting was also held, introducing achievements and future initiatives. The discussion followed on how the Advisory Board could contribute to future initiatives and the quality of the project outcomes.

Parallel breakout sessions focused on digital cancer rehabilitation, specifically pilot tests of early rehabilitation and the Rehab@Home initiative, as well as the procedures and best practices for home-based blood values monitoring.

The next AMBeR General Assembly and Midterm Conference, scheduled for May 26-27, 2025, in Gdańsk, Poland, promises further opportunities for collaboration.
